Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur battle for Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka, Juventus want Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson
By Marko Tankosic
SME News Balkan. Europe’s summer transfer market is already gathering momentum, with several heavyweight clubs linked to high-profile moves. From a potential Premier League battle over Leon Goretzka to Juventus plotting a sensational approach for Alisson Becker, and renewed speculation surrounding Harry Kane and Barcelona, the rumour mill is accelerating across the continent.
Arsenal and Tottenham Linked With Leon Goretzka
Bitter North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly monitoring the situation of Leon Goretzka, who is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, the Germany international will be available as a free agent and is attracting interest from multiple top clubs, including Inter and Bayer Leverkusen.
Goretzka is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League, which could give Arsenal a slight advantage. The Gunners reportedly attempted to sign him during the January transfer window, but a summer switch now appears increasingly likely.
Juventus Consider Move for Liverpool Goalkeeper Alisson
Juventus are reportedly weighing up a bold move for Alisson Becker, despite the goalkeeper remaining under contract at Liverpool until 2027.
Alisson became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when Liverpool signed him in 2018 and remains a cornerstone of the club’s success. However, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims Juventus are exploring the possibility of capitalising on uncertainty surrounding their own goalkeeping situation.
Current No.1 Michele Di Gregorio has struggled to convince, and Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti is known to be an admirer of Alisson from their time together at Roma. Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is also said to be under consideration.
Agent Reveals Real Madrid Regret Over Florian Wirtz
Florian Wirtz completed one of the biggest transfers of last summer when he joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £116 million.
However, leading German agent Volker Struth has revealed that he urged Real Madrid to sign the playmaker before the move to Anfield.
Struth said he personally contacted Xabi Alonso and later Florentino Perez, recommending Wirtz as a transformative signing. Budget constraints and squad planning ultimately prevented the deal, though Struth insists his hope remains that Wirtz will one day play at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Barcelona Interest in Harry Kane Emerges
Speculation has also intensified around Harry Kane, with Barcelona presidential candidate Xavi Vilajoana suggesting the striker would be open to a move.
Kane’s contract situation at Bayern Munich remains unresolved, while Barcelona are expected to search for a new centre-forward as Robert Lewandowski approaches the final months of his deal.
Vilajoana’s campaign manager Jordi Codina confirmed that intermediaries have held exploratory talks, claiming Kane’s profile and playing style would suit Barcelona perfectly, subject to the club’s financial reality.
Allegri Future in Doubt at AC Milan
Meanwhile, Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly reassessing his future at AC Milan. Despite sitting second in Serie A, tensions between the coach and the club’s hierarchy are said to be escalating, with dissatisfaction over recruitment strategy and recent performances.
